I Hear Something Outside.

Is it human chatter?

* * * * *

We just learned that our friend Chuck of Eastside Cats has left for the Bridge. Please send his mom and dad and cat sis Angel some love during this sad time.

Normal Weekend Fun For Elliott.

Sure, we had company last weekend. And yes, I visited and let everyone admire my very long tailio. But really, it was pretty much like every weekend for me. I napped a lot.

Just like I plan to do this weekend! In fact, we may even hit freezing in the overnight hours of Saturday, so maybe the couch blanket will finally make its fall debut. Next to Mom, that's my favorite place to nap!

Lots Of Weekend Fun For Caroline.

I didn't hide while Aunt L and Uncle B were here. In fact, I waited for them at the top of the stairs!

I even sat on my aunt's lap and got a lot of pets and scritches!

Some Weekend Fun For Izzy.

Even though my bro Ivan is a month older than I am, he is a much bigger baby! He acts like he's never met our aunt and uncle before! Me, I stayed in view...right under the couch where I could just be seen and keep an eye on everybody.

At least I had my motor going while there!

No Weekend Fun For Ivan.

I'm glad to finally be out from behind the bookcase in the living room...where I was forced to spend a whole lot of time looking for lost toys*.

Everything's All Cattywampus.

So what if we're expecting our Aunt L and Uncle B tomorrow? They're family. They're used to our fur. And it's no reason to move things all about just to vacuum it up. Why, it took us eons to get all that distributed just right.

I sure hope this unexpected, on-a-strange-day cleaning frenzy doesn't further disrupt our dinnertime. How much can a cat take in a week?

Oh, For Meowing Out Loud.

Yes, I am in hiding. Why? Because my mom will not stop talking about the little lizard she came upon in the garage and how she had to coax it out in order to keep it safe from getting squished by the car.

This is worse than her going on and on yesterday about the giant katydid she coaxed onto a branch to move it and save it from being stepped on.

I think she may have lost her tiny mind. If she was so worried about them, why didn't she invite them in where they'd really be safe?

Ivan And Caroline Get There First.

Something came for us in the mail! It was from our pals The Island Cats for our photo caption! We dove in and made slowpokes Izzy and Elliott wait. Mouse over for commentary.
